How we die matters.
Support & guidance so you can make informed decisions for yourself or support a loved one to prepare for death & dying.
Together we create experiences of death & dying that are sacred, not secret.
These offerings are for everyone, but particularly those facing life limiting illness or those that feel they are on the home straight of their life adventure.
Meet and Greet / AHD Consultation
The beginning of getting your death ducks in a row.
An open and honest conversation about individualised services for the dying person and or family. This is where we get a sense of one another and if it feels right that I can support you at what can be a very tender and precious chapter of life. We discuss options, opportunities and what I may be able to offer to enrich the end of life planning process and experience. This consultation is also a place for the dying person and or family to express their expectations of our journey together.
An AHD or an Advance Health Directive is a legal document which captures your bottom line for your health care. I find the process of getting really honest with your values and preferences at end of life causes you to have a really good look at how you are living currently and when supported, we can adjust accordingly. It’s like a little big life audit and you are never too young to have one in place.
2 hours, in person or online.
Exchange $200. Some travel fees may apply.
Death Connection Session
A gentle, profound and practical exploration of what death means to you.
We begin by grounding and then airing out any fears you may have around life, death and beyond. From here, we move into a meditative practice and then delve into how you wish your death could (not should or will) unfold. This is a thoughtful, body based experience to truly feel into your connection with death and the process of dying to enhance the way you live your life!
You will leave with some very practical resources for end of life planning, based on your personal values and preferences.
Most importantly, this session has space for integration. A death connection session is for the alive and well, those curious about end of life care taking and planning as well as those currently facing their end of life.
2 hours, in person or online.
Exchange $200.
Grief & Death Support Package
An anchor amidst the waves - this package is to provide ongoing support & empowerment at end of life.
Grief, death and loss are tricky to navigate at the best of times and we were not taught this stuff in school. These sessions are open for everyone to attend (or not), to check-in, to ask questions, to share challenges and to be witnessed, not fixed.
End of life is unprecedented and unrepeatable and it can be incredibly supportive to have someone walk alongside you. I see myself a little like a stage manager, seeing the bigger picture, supporting, suggesting, advocating. This allows the dying person to be at the center of the stage and the family members (blood or chosen family) to play their own role, instead of having to do it all. Mum can still be Mum, Dad can be Dad, Daughter can be Daughter etc. Having continuity of support, seeped in compassion for the process can completely change the trajectory of grief.
Some examples of what we may discuss - although this is completely tailored to individual needs - what to expect in grief, from anticipatory, to post death and beyond, funeral planning / living funeral arrangements, advanced care planning, legacy options, decluttering discussions, rituals, navigating and activating external supports, after body death care and ceremony.
10 x 1 hour zoom sessions. Exchange $1,000. Option to deduct two hours if flowing on from a Death Connection Session or Meet and Greet. Hybrid options and in person sessions by negotiation, some travel fees may apply.
Family / Carer Relief
When rested, we are more compassionate, connected and present.
I can provide family / carer relief so carers can take care of themselves and can continue caring for loved ones. Anxiety and pleasure really can’t coexist so this relief goes beyond just being practical, it can become a life raft through a difficult time.
Minimum three hours a day and services agreed upon discussion. For example:
10am - 1pm Carers relief
6am - 9pm Family dinner relief
By negotiation.
Grief, You & Yoga Session
A combination of restorative yoga and grief guidance.
There is a vastness to grief. Perhaps you have a life limiting illness or are preparing to say goodbye to a beloved friend. Perhaps you never had a chance to say goodbye. We can grieve many things; from a person to a pet to a place and beyond. Grief can be messy and confusing. This is a place for you to be heard, held and supported in your grief journey, regardless of what you are grieving.
Grief reminds us what we love, we will lose. It is a very natural and necessary part of life.
This can still feel overwhelming & isolating but when we undertake an apprenticeship with our sorrow, we learn to tend & befriend our grief so that when the waves come - because they will - we have created an internal sense of buoyancy. These sessions are arranged around your needs, woven through a two month period so you receive an ongoing sense of support and connection whilst you traverse your grief.
This package equips you with tools to honour your grief & integrate your unique experience through deep listening, restorative yoga & reflective practices, regardless of what you are grieving. This is a space to release the burden of guilt (if it’s there), to have your pain witnessed (not fixed!) and to express through breath, sound and movement without judgment. Together we can explore the rites of remembrance.
4 sessions, in person or online over a two month period. Exchange $440.
Allow up to 90 minutes for initial session, subsequent sessions vary between 60-75 minutes.
Casual sessions $125
Reiki for Humans & Horses
Subtle laced with the potential of the profound.
It's a healing technique that was initially hands off. The lineage I have studied originated in Japan but at some stage when coming to the West, it became a hands on healing modality. I flow between both, if there is permission for hands on, particularly with humans as touch is so personal. Horses are pretty good at bumping you out of the field and letting you know if they prefer hands on or off. Reiki can also be done at a distance.
Everyone’s experience is different but the intention is to support the body, support itself and reinstate harmony and balance.
75 minutes, exchange is $90
Horses sessions, on their property, in a round yard or similar where possible so the horse has choice and freedom to regulate and express.
Exchange $90 + travel depending on location.
Horse human connection sessions (my favourite!) are as unique as you and your horse and can involve some breathing & movement practices & journaling for you (I offer some reflective questions) and reiki for both participants, those with two legs and four.
Exchange $150 + travel depending on location. Sessions with horses go as long as the horse is saying yes!
